news, news, news!!!!!

on monday i got a packet from a church in texas with a questionnaire, spritual gifts assesment, and a disc personailty profile to fill out. so i will be busy filling that out and sending it back into them. the church is located in the dallas-fort worth area. so taht was exciting, because that now makes 6 churches that i have made the short list of recently. well, today i got a call from a church in henderson, nv (south of las vegas) and they are interested in me and wanted to know if i was still available. so now that makes 7 churches that i have made the short list at. so we are just waiting and praying (still). but it looks like maybe by the fall i could get a position at a church once again and get back to doing what my passion is, working with students. i miss it more than words can express. today, i was reading the latest group magazine and it was so hard to read because it reminds me of what i am missing out on, but in the same token it was exciting to think about the possibility of getting back involved in student ministry. i am soooooo looking forward to tomorrow, because i will be going to one of my favorite places manistee, mi! i have been going up there for the manistee national forest festival since i was a kid. i have family up there and it is one of the highlights of my year. i am hoping and praying that this will be a relaxing, fun and rerfreshing time. i am also praying for God to speak to kimmy and i about where He is going to be leading us and prepare us (and them!) for the place He is going to sending us. this could be my last time doing this annual trip, so i plan on soaking it all in! then next week wednesday when i come back i wil be going to one of my favoritest and happiest places on earth.... cedar point! i will be taking my neice from colorado there and hopefully this year we will be able to ride the top thrill dragster! well, that it is for now.... hopefully there will be more later.
