Heading North.....

Tomorrow, Kimmy and I leave for Manistee, MI for the 70th Annual Manistee National Forest Festival. Ever since I was a kid my family would always go up there for the 4th of July and I am continuing on the tradition with my family.

For several years my family stopped going and I picked it back up with some friends and we would just grab a tent and go camping at this small campground that had space available called Insta Launch. It was the only place I could find on short notice and I ended up really liking it there. And Kimmy and I love it, because we got a site right next to the small beach that has a little lagoon that the kids can go swimming in. So basically we can sit on our site and watch them swim.

The best part about going up north and camping is that I have no schedule, no work and I get to just relax with my family! So I wil see ya'll when I get back!

Oh yeah, and don't forget that this weekend England will beat Portugal. Jeff Gordon will win the Pepsi 400. And the greatest test of human endurance and strength starts up.... the greatest sporting event ever.... Le Tour de France. Go George Hincapie!!!

U.S. TIES ITALY

The U.S. did exaclty what they needed to do today. Of course they did have a little help from Italy. The man in blue in the picture above is the one who scored that goal for the U.S. By the way, U.S. was wearing white today, so basically Italy scored an "own goal", but a score is a score in my opinion. So know all the U.S. needs to do is beat Ghana in the next game and we may be moving onto the next round. But the best part about the whole game was that the U.S. definitely improved from the last game.

Breaking My Blog Jam

I have been so flippin' busy lately that I just haven't had time to blog in a while. Sorry, to all of my faithful blog readers.

Yesterday, I went to one of my most favoritest places on the planet! I love the annual, traditional youth group trip to Cedar Point. I love the rides, especially Top Thrill Dragster, which is the coolest roller coaster on the planet! It is so much fun and I could ride it all day long! Going from 0-120 mph in less than 4 seconds is a thrill. Normally I like to ride on the back of coaster, but I must say that on Top Thrill, it is better in the front. That wind hitting you is amazing, and then seeing your self go up that 420 foot hill and then descend back down it is freakin' cool!

But the other thing that I loved about yesterday was being able to spend a whole day with teenagers! I have not had that opportunity for a while, especially at Cedar Point! So yesterday I was in hog heaven! I was at one of my most favotie places with my most favorite groups of people!

And now I am getting ready to watch the United States soccer team play against Italy. Hopefully, they will show up and attack the net unlike they did in their last match. Ghana beating the Czech Republic today is a big help in our hopes of getting to the next round. Along with two of Ghana key players getting their second yellow cards, thus making them ineligible for the next match, which is against the U.S. So with all of that, the U.S. still has a strong chance of making it to the next round. We must tie Italy today though for that to happen. So with out further ado, it is game time!

Nah!!! I'd Rather Go To Ikea!!! :)

I am so excited for the new Ikea store that is opening up in Canton, MI! This will be Michigan's first Ikea and it has been too long!

I have gone to the one out in Southern California and fell in love with the store the first time I went. While I wish I could be there with my buddy Colin for the opening day, but I will have to wait until later, because I need to go to work! But oh well, I think I can handle waiting a little bit longer. Meanwhile I will just dream of it.....

I Want To Go To Hell.....

Yep! You read that right. Tomorrow is the infamous 6/6/6 date, even though it is really 06/06/06 but I digress..... The town of Hell, Michigan is having a big party for it. They are selling a square inch piece of this town of 72 for only $6.66. They are also selling shirts commemorating the date for $6.66 and they only have.... drum roll.... 666 shirts available! I think they are going a little nuts about this whole thing. But I actually just find it kind of humorous.

The movie "The Omen" comes out. Slayer is releasing their new album "Eternal Pyre" and they kick off their "Unholy" tour. And Ann Coulter's new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism" comes out also. Guess which one I wouldn't mind indulging myself in?

But the best thing about Hell, Michigan is that every year.....

hell freezes over!!! And you can tell people that live there to go to hell!!! In Hell, Michigan they call their residents "hellions" or "hell-billies".

When I was 17, I went on a 150 mile bike ride supporting the National MS Society and I literally went through Hell on that bike ride. But it was a lot of fun! It is a very small town, but very quaint. Wouldn't mind starting a church there.... and maybe call it "Hell's Church" What do you think?
